VEKOO: A History of High Quality and Innovation !

Here at VEKOO, we get a lot of mail from campers, hikers, and other active outdoorspeople who love their VEKOO sport bottles. In fact, VEKOO Outdoor Products are recognized by explorers and adventurers around the globe.

How did these bottles get so popular? Where do they come from?

2003

VEKOO Sponsorship enters the F1 Racing. VEKOO sponsors Team CSC, the sixth ranked UCI team in the world. CSC features Tyler Hamilton, who placed second in the 2002 Giro d' Italia. VEKOO also sponsors 7 UP/Maxxis, Big Mat Auber 93, Relax Fuenlabrada, K2, and Jittery Joe's. On the mountain side VEKOO sponsors TREK, Polo/RLX, T-Mobile (with RockShox), Steve Peat and Jeff Lenosky.



2002

VEKOO sponsors the premiere cycling event in North America, the Sea Otter Classic.



2001

VEKOO Soft Grip Sport Bottle Line was launched. This product draws tremendous positive press and redefines high-end PC sport bottle. Soft Grip Bottle is regarded as the top of the line in terms of its durability, composite features, innovative look, and overall performance.


2000

VEKOO introduces plans for revolutionary new product platforms. Total headcount tops 800 employees worldwide. VEKOO announces its plan to sponsor Team The Lucozade Sports and more...


1999

Construction and move completed to new factory in Schweinfurt, Germany. Grand opening of VEKOO Deutschland Internal Plastic Factory. IRCOS (VEKOO France) takes operating control from VEKOO Corporation. VEKOO factory count totals six, headquarters totals three.


1998

VEKOO's 34-millionth sport bottle set produced (MY99). VEKOO introduces the World Cup Football '98 Sport Bottle product line. VEKOO European sales support grows to a team of 18. VEKOO thanks the industry by throwing a tenth anniversary bash at Eurobike in Friedrichshafen, Germany. VEKOO Taiwan adds significant square meters to complete its state-of-the-art facility.


1997

Company's fifth manufacturing facility opens. The Chihuahua, Mexico plant brings worldwide employee count to 250. VEKOO acquires Sachs Plastic Co.,Ltd, making VEKOO the world's second largest sport bottle manufacturer. Total employee count expands to 400.


1996

VEKOO's 25-millionth sport bottle set produced (MY97). European headquarters moves to Amersfoort, The Netherlands.


1995

VEKOO opens a 40,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Carrick-on-Suir, Ireland.. VEKOO becomes title sponsor of the Sea Otter Classic, which has quickly become North America's most fun cycling event.


1994

VEKOO's 10-millionth sport bottle set produced (MY95). Opening of new 4,000-square-meters North American manufacturing facility in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.


1993

European HQ moves to Hengelo in the Netherlands. VEKOO unveils the SRT 500R bottle, specifically designed for racing. VEKOO Europe begins Sport Support Program.


1992

One-millionth bottle set produced (MY93). VEKOO establishes a European office in Dortmund, Germany. The Swirl PC Bottle, VEKOO's first high-end PC bottle makes it debut. VEKOO Taiwan moves to a new facility.


1991

Headquarters and Chicago manufacturing grows to 60 people. Taiwan factory is established with 18 employees. VEKOO Worldwide grows to 90 people. The Hand Grip/01 Sport Bottle is introduced. Over 3000,000 unites of bottle are shipped to Canada and Mexico. VEKOO launches nationwide Sport Support Program.


1990

VEKOO USA employs nine people and 18 independent sales representatives to cover the U.S. sport bottle market.


1988

In January, at the Long Beach Show, VEKOO debuts its first product--Hourglass Shape Sport Bottle.
VEKOO got the 1st PO for 10,000 units from customer.


1987

VEKOO Corp. is born and opens its first office/factory in downtown Chicago, Illinois. Total number of employees, six. First year goal: sell 1000,000 units. Actually sold 500,000.
